Scoring Season 3 of The O.C. - My Predictions
With the third season of The O.C. nearly here - it starts September 8 - I thought it was the right time to put together a list of bands most likely to be featured in the upcoming episodes. One rule however: no repeat bands (sorry, no more Death Cab). I realize the show has featured just about every indie band with a good P.R. firm, but I think this can be easily done. Oh, and I'm also hoping that Seth will give up comic books this season and start an MP3 blog. You never know.

As a reference, I'm using The O.C. Show's index of songs played in season one and two. Here's my rather lame attempt, in order of most likely to least:

- The Arcade Fire (How have they not been played yet?)
- Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (Remember, Seth is going to start a blog)
- Magic Numbers
- M.I.A.
- Editors (Interpol has no new material out)
- The National
- Jamie Lidell
- Nouvelle Vague
- Decemberists
- Calexico and Iron & Wine
- Brazilian Girls
- Hard-Fi
- Cut Copy
- Broken Social Scene (I was surprised BSS hasn't been used already)
- Sigur Ros (Seriously, there's some shorter songs on the new album that would work for a tear-jerking montage)
- The Clientele
- Andrew Bird (Hey, Sufjan did it)
- Voxtrot
- Art Brut ("Moving to L.A." would be perfect)
- Doveman (Hey, they said they would do it)
