On the Road, On Film
"You'd be surprised how little I knew even up to yesterday" - Jack Kerouac

Francis Ford Coppola owns the film rights to Jack Kerouac's famous and influential novel On The Road. He has since 1979. He's been sitting on making a film based on the novel for so long, waiting for the right moment. The time has now come. The team is coming together. Francis and his film company American Zoetrope have signed up Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries) to direct and Jose Rivera (writer for Motorcycle Diaries) to adapt. No casting decisions have been announced. Production begins next year.
