I basically missed all the build-up for the Across the Narrows (formerly Across the Pond) festival, but the lineup they've pulled together gets me psyched under any circumstances. The festival's official site reports that tickets will be going on sale this FRIDAY at 10 AM. Tickets are $55 for each day, with a limited number of $100 two-day passes available. Here's where the lineups are at:

Keyspan Park, Coney Island

October 1: The Pixies, Gang of Four, Built to Spill, Rilo Kiley, Death From Above 1979, Mando Diao, Nine Black Alps
October 2: Beck, Belle and Sebastian, The Polyphonic Spree, The Raveonettes, Gang Gang Dance, Whirlwind Heat, plus a special guest TBA

Richmond County Ballpark, Staten Island

October 1: The Killers, New York Dolls, Interpol, British Sea Power, Tegan and Sara, The Ordinary Boys, Lake Trout
October 2: Oasis, Jet, Doves, The Lemonheads, Kasabian, Jesse Malin, The RedWalls, plus a special guest TBA

Barring something crazy with the special guests, Brooklyn's bill wins this one in a landslide. A Lemonheads reunion can't compete with Belle and Sebastian's first visit to NYC in almost two years. And the Pixies, Gang of Four, and Built to Spill are a very solid 1-2-3 for the Saturday schedule. I'd be curious to see British Sea Power and Oasis and it's been a while since I've seen Interpol but barring something crazy with the special guests, I'm totally fine with missing the Staten Island sets. (A setup like this could have been much tougher to decide between.)
